Family Matters | Susan & Rachael Caudillo

July 1, 2025

Rachael Caudillo and Susan Caudillo smile together in front of a colorful geometric-patterned backdrop at a Family Matters event. One wears a black dress, while the other sports a black top with a lanyard and necklace.

In this edition of Family Matters, we spotlight Susan & Rachael Caudillo — a mother-daughter sales team at ASB! The two always knew they’d work together someday, and that dream finally became a reality. Now, they’re combining their strengths and passion to bring client projects to life — and loving every minute of it.

When did you start working at American?

Susan – I started with ASB July of 2023

Rachael – I started with ASB June of 2024

What’s your favorite memory from Rachael’s childhood?

Awe, so many I can’t pick a favorite. Rachael is our 2nd born and she was a very happy and cheerful baby and kid growing up. She loved doing whatever we did as a family, she participated in everything with a happy, go lucky, attitude! She was always willing to pitch in with chores around the house; she volunteered at school and is a down-to-earth person that is willing to help whomever and whenever needed.

What motivated you to start working together as a family?

We have always talked about Rachael joining the industry someday and the time was just right last year, Rachael moved back home from MN in 2023 and wasn’t quite happy at her current tech job. She put in another year there, then decided to switch careers, and be my succession plan!

Can you share a memorable success story that you achieved together?

Every project we handle for our clients, with multiple orders, getting every detail dialed in, and the finished products delivered on time to the tradeshow or conference site is memorable!!

What do you love about working together?

I love that Rachael jumped in with both feet! She grasped the basics of the business and the ASB processes and has “lessened the load” for me….! We work well together, and I get a great sense of pride when we complete a client project together.

What’s a challenge you face when working together?

I like working in our dedicated office upstairs, and Rachael likes to slip out and work in the backyard or dining room table for the view she has from there!

What advice would you give to other family pairs considering working together professionally?

I think a parent/child team will have a sense of whether you can work together or not. And if you think you can, I say Do it! My clients LOVE the fact that when I do retire 100%, there will be a seamless transition with Rachael at the helm!
