SITUATION:

A large glass manufacturer needed a streamlined ordering process for their production line materials. Initially, their ACES site was created for purchasing business cards and office supplies for a limited group of employees. As their widespread needs became more evident, so did the need to upgrade to the ACES Elite platform. The transition expanded user access across all branches and added multiple product categories, including manufacturing labels, brochures, apparel, office supplies, calendars, HR documents, and custom glass sample kits. To further simplify brand management, a direct link to their online logo library was integrated into the platform, giving employees quick access to approved brand assets.

With more than 50 locations and 10,000 employees nationwide, the company required a user-friendly solution that enabled each cost center to place orders independently while ensuring accurate billing and shipping details by location. In addition, the system needed to support both warehoused inventory and print-on-demand products, providing flexibility to manage stock efficiently while maintaining consistent branding across every order.

Traditional ordering methods could no longer keep pace with the organization’s scale and complexity. Managing orders, shipments, and budgets across dozens of locations led to frequent challenges, including inaccurate shipping details, inconsistent branding, and inefficiencies in procurement workflows. These issues underscored the urgent need for a centralized yet adaptable eCommerce solution capable of supporting their nationwide operations.

SOLUTION:

American Solutions for Business (ASB) implemented a customized ACES eCommerce storefront designed to support the customer’s multi-location structure. Each cost center was set up with individual access, ensuring that orders automatically reflected accurate shipping and billing details specific to the location.

Working closely with the customer, ASB:

  • Established role-based permissions so users only viewed items relevant to their department or location.
  • Integrated an online library directly into the site, providing quick access to approved logos and brand assets for consistent branding.
  • Configured product categories to support both warehoused items (such as labels, tags, and brochures) and print-on-demand products (including stationery, apparel, posters, and accumulated calendar pre-orders for cost savings), delivering flexibility in managing inventory and turnaround times.
  • Enabled real-time reporting and order tracking, giving the team visibility into usage, budget control, and consistency across all 50+ locations.

By uniting warehousing, digital asset management, print services, and ACES technology into one seamless platform, ASB delivered a solution that streamlined procurement, enhanced efficiency, and reinforced brand integrity at scale.

SUCCESS:

The ACES storefront streamlined ordering across more than 50 locations, reducing errors, eliminating obsolete items, and transitioning many products to print-on-demand all while improving administrative workflow. By leveraging the ASB distribution center, frequently used items could be purchased in higher volumes, delivering cost savings, while print-on-demand services reduced waste and eliminated the need for excess inventory. These improvements resulted in significant cost reductions, faster fulfillment, and greater order accuracy.

Centralized reporting provided clear visibility into usage and costs by location, giving the customer stronger budget oversight and improved decision-making. The integration with an online library of logos ensured consistent branding across all orders, while user-specific access controlled product visibility and safeguarded ordering processes. The platform’s flexibility also enabled seamless onboarding of new cost centers, creating a scalable foundation for continued growth.

Today, ASB continues to expand the storefront by adding new products, further positioning the platform as a one-stop shopping solution for the customer’s nationwide operations.
